Sofia Isari
For the position of President nominated by the Hellenic Federation of the Deaf
Sofia Isari is a bilingual deaf native signer and expert in Sign Language pedagogy, a Deaf Rights activist, a Greek SL exam evaluator and a volunteer Deaf interpreter. Sofia is a Kindergarten teacher and Head Teacher since 2005, in Athens.
She has served as a board member and Vice President of EUD, a Vice President of the Hellenic Federation of the Deaf, efsliDI Chair, and other Deaf organizations.
She has developed bilingual teaching material for teaching Greek Sign Language, as a L1 and L2 for the Ministry of Education, Educational Television and EU Projects.
