On the 22nd of March the UN CRPD Committee will hold a general discussion on the right of persons with disabilities to work and employment. The purpose of the general discussion is to prepare for the drafting of the UN CRPD General Comment on Employment. General Comment on Employment will be UN CRPD Committee’s interpretation of the right to work, will seek to clarify the reporting duties of State Parties with respect to this right and suggest approaches to implementing Article 27 UN CRPD.
The general discussion will take place online, though Kudo platform, on Monday, 22 March 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m (Geneva time), and on Wednesday, 24 March 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m (Geneva time).
More information on possibility to make an intervention and written submission is available on the website of the CRPD Committee. Deadline for submission is 15 March.
