Who I am
I’m Filipe Venade de Sousa, from Porto, Portugal, and I am proud to serve as a Board Member of the European Union of the Deaf. I am focused on two big topics: AI, and sign language minorities within the deaf community. For me, the principle is clear: nothing about us without us.
What I want to achieve
My view is that Europe is going through a crisis. Even so, we believe that deaf people’s rights should be recognised in their countries, and that having sign languages in our lives gives us a better quality of life. That is my aim.
