Today, we launch an exciting new video programme called ‘Meet your MEP’. The host of the programme, Lars Knudsen, the EUD Communication & Media Officer, will meet Members of the European Parliament every month to get their views on the current poticial issues relating to the Deaf Community in Europe.
Our first guest is MEP Morten Løkkegaard from Denmark. He is member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE). He is also the Vice-Chair of the Culture and Education Committee.
MEP Løkkegaard answered questions from Lars Knudsen that covered sign language, Deaf people’s access to cultural events in Europe, 112 emergency services and the Danish Presidency.
